Micro Commercial Components (MCC) has introduced the MCTL1DxN series, a family of N-channel power MOSFETs designed for high-current power conversion applications. The new family is available with 40V, 60V, 80V, and 100V drain-source voltage ratings, combining ultra-low on-resistance, high current capability, and a thermally optimized TOLL-8L package for demanding power system designs.
According to MCC, the MCTL1DxN series is intended for applications including DC-DC converters, server power supplies, battery management systems, motor drives, and power distribution equipment where both switching efficiency and thermal performance are important.
Low On-Resistance and High Current Capability
The MCTL1DxN family is built using MCC's Split Gate Trench (SGT) MOSFET technology, which the company says reduces switching losses and gate charge for high-frequency power conversion.
Depending on the device, the series offers maximum RDS(on) values down to 1.0mΩ together with continuous drain current ratings of up to 364A. Voltage options cover 40V, 60V, 80V, and 100V, allowing the family to support a range of power architectures.
According to MCC, the combination of low on-resistance and reduced switching losses is intended to improve efficiency in high-current switching applications.
TOLL-8L Package
The MCTL1DxN series is housed in the TOLL-8L package, which combines low parasitic inductance with low thermal resistance to support high-power-density designs.
MCC states that the package provides junction-to-case thermal resistance as low as 0.35°C/W, helping to improve heat dissipation under heavy load while supporting high-frequency switching performance.
Selected devices within the series are qualified to AEC-Q101 for automotive and other high-reliability applications. Typical applications include server and telecom power supplies, battery energy storage systems (BESS), on-board chargers, DC-DC converters, motor control systems, and power distribution units used in data centers.
The MCTL1DxN series is available now through MCC and its authorized distributors.
