RECOM has expanded its isolated DC/DC converter range with the RP50-AW and RP100-FW series, providing up to 50 W and 100 W output power respectively. Both series support 4:1 input voltage ranges of 9–36 VDC or 18–75 VDC. The RP50-AW reaches efficiencies up to 93% in a 1 × 1-inch footprint, while the higher-power RP100-FW offers efficiencies up to 94%.
The converters are designed for industrial automation, transportation, datacom and telecom systems, as well as test and measurement equipment.
50 W from a 1 × 1-Inch Footprint
The RP50-AW provides up to 50 W output power and 2.25 kVDC isolation. Alongside the two 4:1 input ranges, RECOM offers the series with both single and dual outputs.
Operating temperature extends from -40°C to +105°C. An optional heatsink version is also available for applications requiring improved thermal performance at higher ambient temperatures.
The combination of the 1 × 1-inch package and wide input range allows the same converter family to cover systems operating from several different nominal DC supply voltages.
RP100-FW Extends Output Power to 100 W
For higher-power applications, the RP100-FW delivers up to 100 W with efficiency reaching 94%. It uses the same 9–36 VDC and 18–75 VDC input ranges as the 50 W series.
Without a heatsink, the converter measures 50.8 × 25.4 × 10.7 mm. Its operating temperature range extends from -40°C to +110°C, and the series can operate at altitudes up to 5,000 m.
RECOM also offers an optional heatsink version measuring 50.8 × 26.5 × 32.2 mm for applications requiring additional thermal management.
Protection and Remote Control
Both converter families include overvoltage, overload and overtemperature protection, together with continuous short-circuit protection.
Remote ON/OFF control supports positive or negative logic, while output voltage can be adjusted across a wider range on selected models.
The RP50-AW and RP100-FW comply with current RoHS and REACH requirements and are designed for use in industrial control systems, test and measurement equipment, communication infrastructure and transportation electronics.
