SECO has launched two industrial computing platforms based on Qualcomm’s Dragonwing IQ-2390 processor: the Compact Vision 5 Dragonwing IQ-2390 HMI and SBC-Dragonwing-IQ-2390 single-board computer.
The two products provide different integration options around the same processing platform. Compact Vision 5 is a ready-integrated 5-inch touchscreen HMI, while the SBC is designed for engineers developing custom embedded systems.
Both platforms target industrial HMI, control, vending, building automation and vision applications, with integrated wireless connectivity and support for on-device AI.
5-Inch HMI for Industrial Control
Compact Vision 5 Dragonwing IQ-2390 combines a 5-inch touchscreen with IP65 front protection and is available with 2 GB or 4 GB of RAM and 16 GB of eMMC storage.
Industrial interfaces include RS232, RS485 and CAN, alongside Gigabit Ethernet and USB-C. Wi-Fi and Bluetooth provide wireless connectivity, while the unit accepts a 9–24 V DC power input.
SECO is targeting the HMI at machine operators and industrial control systems requiring touch interaction and entry-level on-device AI capabilities. Additional 4.3-inch and 7-inch versions are also planned.
Dragonwing IQ-2390 SBC for Custom Embedded Systems
The SBC-Dragonwing-IQ-2390 provides the same processing foundation in a compact single-board computer for engineers developing customized embedded systems. It includes industrial serial interfaces, CAN, Gigabit Ethernet, USB-C, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth. An expansion port adds support for camera, audio, Ethernet, USB and I2C/I3C connectivity, allowing the board to be integrated into a wider range of embedded designs.
SECO is also developing a market-specific version of the SBC with an extension board and support from the upcoming Clea OS 3.0.
AI, Real-Time Control and Industrial Networking
At the centre of both products is Qualcomm’s Dragonwing IQ-2390, which combines CPU processing with an integrated image signal processor, on-device AI acceleration, a RISC-V MCU and audio DSP.
The processor also integrates dual Gigabit Ethernet with Time-Sensitive Networking, bringing industrial networking and real-time control capabilities onto the same platform. Both SECO products run Clea OS 2.0 and will support the upcoming Clea OS 3.0. The embedded operating system provides software update and device management capabilities throughout the product lifecycle.
An optional USB-connected AI Audio Dongle is also available for both platforms. It includes a 3+3 microphone array, beamforming and a speaker for adding voice interfaces in noisy environments.
