RECOM has expanded its DC/DC converter portfolio with the REC6K-AW and REC6K-RW series. The new families provide regulated 6W isolated DC/DC conversion with a wide 4:1 input range and are available in two package formats for industrial applications.
The REC6K-AW series is supplied in an industry-standard 1” x 1” package, while the REC6K-RW series uses a DIP24 format. Both product families are intended for applications including industrial automation, railway systems, energy equipment, industrial machinery, and test and measurement instruments.
REC6K-AW and REC6K-RW are isolated DC/DC converters used to generate regulated output voltages from wide DC input ranges in industrial power systems.
Input and Output Options
The new converter families support input voltage ranges of 9VDC to 36VDC and 18VDC to 75VDC. Single-output versions are available with output voltages from 3.3VDC to 24VDC, while dual-output models are offered with ±5V, ±12V, and ±15V outputs.
Output currents reach up to 1.5A depending on the selected model, with power ratings of up to 6W. RECOM also states that the converters operate without a minimum load requirement.
For single-output variants, the REC6K-AW series includes a ±10% trim function and an ON/OFF control pin. Control functionality is also available on selected REC6K-RW models identified by the /P suffix.

Operating Temperature Range
RECOM specifies operation from -40°C to +100°C ambient temperature, with derating supported up to +105°C depending on the model. Maximum case temperature is rated at +125°C.
